Laura and Andrew chose to hold their wedding celebrations at the stunning Hazlewood Castle near Tadcaster in North Yorkshire – a perfect venue for a winter wedding, with real fires and splendid interior architecture. This former knight’s residence is in an idyllic rural location and was lavishly decorated for the season, with mistletoe and holly and a fabulous 12 foot Norwegian fir tree gracing the magnificent ceremonial dining room.

The civil ceremony was held in the intimate surroundings of the Castle library with Laura looking elegant in a sophisticated teal satin dress. Radiating happiness the couple then proceeded to the chapel in the castle grounds where her uncle presided over a solemn wedding blessing with readings contributed by members of her family.

As videographers, we filmed some great footage of the happy couple enjoying their special day with the backdrop of the opulent castle interior, but the wild skies of the Yorkshire location also gave great scope for some more atmospheric scenes outdoors. Congratulations to Laura and Andrew from Martyn and Anne at HD Video Services.

- Sam, you know I’m into photojournalism. So that means I am aoslbutely in love with that last picture. ABSOLUTELY LOVE. It looks like it should be up in a book. The processing is perfect, and you have captured the emotions so well. This is such a gorgeous place I love how old the building is! I’ll have to say, though, after taking Jon and Sarah out to NYC for a few hours last week, I’m not sure if I can do NYC weddings. It’s WAY too hot and humid for my liking. You, on the other hand, are born and made to do this! Keep it up, I love to see your work!
