Kelle and Johney’s Wedding Day at The George Hotel, Huddersfield

Located on the edge of ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ countryside, Huddersfield is notable for its abundance of fine Victorian architecture, in fact, it has the third highest number of listed buildings in any town or city in the UK. The elegant and charming George Hotel with its Italian façade, was the setting for Kelly and Johneys wedding ceremony and reception.

We arrived at the Hotel in plenty of time and I had the receptionist call up to Kelle’s room to check if she was ready for me to start filming some of her ‘preps’. The room was buzzing with activity – nail polishing, hair teasing and dress fitting progressed smoothly assisted by the imbibing of some sparkly fizz which heightened the sense of occasion and anticipation. Kelle was very excited, yet calm and in control and obviously well prepared for her big day.

The ceremony was beautiful, the couple spoke their vows with such sincerity and love, I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room – it made for some superb footage for the DVD!

True to form, the British weather was typically fickle and as soon as the clouds lifted, we made a quick dash to Greenhead Park, just a mile or so from the Hotel. Millions of pounds have been spent here in 2011 in refurbishing the landscape and buildings and we were lucky to be able to capture some tender moments on film before the rain resumed, this time with a vengeance. Nothing could dampen the happy couple’s spirits however, and we all headed back to the Hotel, Kelly and Johney ready to enjoy the reception and the rest of their wedding celebrations.

After the wedding, Kelle emailed us saying:
“Booking a videographer for our wedding was difficult at the beginning as we were pretty much blind! But after meeting Martyn, we were more than happy with what he had to offer and he delivered perfectly! Great communication from the start, friendly and genuine. We were made to feel relaxed and comfortable as our every move was being videoed, not that we would have noticed Martyn & Anne were great. As for the DVD it was emotional and lovely to watch all the best bits captured by HD video services. If in doubt, book this company, you will not be disappointed, they will leave you with a lasting memory of your very special day. Thank you!”

Thank you for your kind comments, Kelle and congratulations to you and Johney from Martyn and Anne at HD Video Services.
